Course aims

Form systematic knowledge about the principles of assessing psychological qualities and of the main psychometrical tests.

Brief description of the course

Construction of tests. Psychometrical qualities of tests: reliability, validity. Assessment of personality traits: the Big Five, the Big Three. Assessment of mood and emotionality. Assessment of subjective well-being and satisfaction. Assessment of stress and coping styles. Assessment of self-concept and self-esteem.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- knows the main principes about construction of tests;
- knows the structure and conception of the tests for psychometric assessment.
