Course aims
The aim of the course is to provide knowledge about fields of psychology and law.
Brief description of the course
The course reviews basic knowledge about theoretical and practical aspects in investigative psychology. In the course the following principles are introduced: interviewing techniques of victims and witnesses, interrogation of suspects and false confessions, identification issues, deception detection and offender profiling.
Independent work
Acquiring mandatory literature for the final test, preparation for the oral presentation.
Learning outcomes in the course
The participant will know main theoretical aspects and research in psychology and law. The participant is able to analyse and critically evaluate the texts in legal psychology.
