Course aims
To introduce the students to an interdisciplinary analysis of the principles of physical geography, physics, biology and archaeology. To reconstruct the development of landscapes and geospheres in the past and predict their future.
Brief description of the course
The concept of temporal-spatial scale and its application in paleogeography, methods for reconstructing Holocene environments, palaeoecological techniques. An overview of the modern advances in the field of paleoclimatology, pleistocene glaciations.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- is able to understand dynamics of nature process, analyze nowadays global problems and human activity time-space impact to global problems.
