Course aims

To create prerequisites for acquiring linguistic competence in written and oral Portuguese at A2 level as established in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Brief description of the course

Integrated developing of all four part-skills of a foreign language (listening, reading, speaking, writing) following the content of A2 level on the scale of the European Council´s language proficiency system.

The course is designed to target the students whose command of Portuguese equals to A1 level.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- understands commonly used words and phrases;
- understands short and well-pronounced utterances;
- understands short simple texts;
- is able to find specific information from simple everyday texts;
- manages in everyday communication situations;
- passes an A2 level exam
