Course aims

Increasing active vocabulary of students, improving and reinforcing grammatical skills, developing speaking and writing skills; practicing different writing techniques.

Brief description of the course

Work with fictional text: making summaries, retelling. Semantic and grammatical analysis of text. Translating. Paraphrasing. Description of characters, essays, creative writing. Practicing work with dictionaries. Different reading strategies. Creative writing. Independent work includes preparation for a practical class and completing written tasks.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
Ability to write logically structured texts in fluent Swedish; applying different reading techniques in practice.
