Course aims
Elective subject in the area of specialisation. To get an overview of the history of bobbin lace. To acquire the terms and the basic methods of work and theoretical and practical knowledge and skills necessary for teaching.
Brief description of the course
Bobbin lace in the syllabus of mainstream schools. The history of bobbin lace. Lace as a decorative element of household textiles and clothes. Implements and materials needed. Preparatory works. Principal methods of bobbin lace making. Practical exercises. Putting finishing touches on lace and taking care of them. Developing work samples into demonstration samples.
