Course aims

Elective subject in the area of specialisation. To get an overview of the history of patcwork. To acquire the terms and the basic methods of work and theoretical and practical knowledge and skills necessary for teaching.

Brief description of the course

Sewing technology.
Traditions of patchwork throughout history. Materials, implements, planning and preparatory works.
Practical exercises.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
Student: has got systematic overview on patcwork thematics,has the knowledge and skill to choose materials and equipment. Knows the terminology and technological possibilities.
