Course aims
To introduce vocal care and breathing techniques used in singing to future choir conductors.
To support students in acquiring skills and knowledge in working with an amateur choir or vocal group.
To support students in acquiring skills and knowledge in working with an amateur choir or vocal group.
Brief description of the course
Voice-placement in a choir and individually, working with the choir, choosing songs according to the composition of the choir. Teaching songs to the choir with assistance from the teacher. Concert performances.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- Is able to sing the voice parts in a vocally and intonationally high level,
- Can independently solve technical issues in working with a choir.
