Course aims
Create opportunities:
- to acquire a basic knowledge of the basic principles of body movement and anatomically correct body mastery in the context of contemporary dance;
- to gain experience in improvisation, to get to know and become aware of one's habits and to achieve greater openness on the basis of this knowledge;
- to learn group work and perception of the whole picture.
Brief description of the course
The teaching consists of practical training sessions, during which physical abilities and the development of physical strength, flexibility, coordination and richness of expression take place, and seminars in which works and manifestations of contemporary dance are observed / analyzed.
Improvisation practices deal with the use of movement qualities, space, dynamics, rhythm and different levels in the art of dance. spontaneous selection. The use of visual images, different ideas and tools, site-specificity and practical work with partners are practiced, observed and analyzed.
Process-based learning requires participation in auditory work (internships): the requirement to pass the exam is at least 80%.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- has anatomically correct body use;
- performs movements in a focused and analytical way;
- uses different methods of motion improvisation;
-- analyzes the work process both as an observer and a participant;
- participates in projects based on improvisation.
