Course aims
To establish ground for the acquirement of basic elements of classical ballet. To establish ground for developing musicality and coordination through the aesthetics of ballet. To establish ground for the acquirement of ballet terminology. To establish ground for the acquirement of basic knowledge about the principles of movement and the anatomical correctness of the body.
Brief description of the course
Exercice, i.e. a number of exercises at the barre that are in accord with the beginners level of ballet. Exercice, i.e. a number of exercises at the centre in accord with the beginners level of ballet. Allegro, i.e. a number of jumping combinations in accord with the beginners level of ballet. Class participation is mandatory (min 85%).
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- knows the basic elements of classical ballet
- the student’s musicality and coordination have improved through the aesthetics of ballet training system
- knows the basic terminology of ballet
- knows the basic principles of movement and the anatomical correctness of the body
