Course aims
The aim is to give overwiev of media system models and forms in Russia, and changes in traditional and new media in Russia. Also to help with skills of theoretical analysis.
Brief description of the course
The course includes in-depth discussion of the Russian media system: various theories in practice, the media operation mechanisms, practical paradoxes, etc..
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
Upon completion of the course, the student will have acquired the following outcomes:
-knows different theoretical approaches that explain the Russian media system
-is able to associate practices with the theories
-Is able to assess and analyze the different situations in terms of theoretical inevitability
-Is able to manage a variety of media systems
-Is able to effectively and adequately to deal with the global media system
- knows techniques and tactics of media system, and is able to t strategically implement them
