Course aims
The aim of the internship is to support the development of students into teachers / support specialists through the experience of teaching and / or educational work carried out at school / kindergarten / university and its interpretation.
A volunteer teacher education student can come to the kindergarten / school to help both online and physically, and student's internship tasks are directly related to the transition to Estonian language of learning and/or supporting the learning of students whose mother tongue is different from Estonian.

Brief description of the course
The student can do an internship at a school / kindergarten with a teacher or support specialist as a teacher's assistant or at the university as an assistant teacher.
The task of the student is to assist the teacher of the internship school / kindergarten in creating the necessary environment for study and / or educational work and in planning and carrying out the study and / or educational process.

Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- has an overview of the organization of teaching in the school / kindergarten from the point of view of the teacher / support specialist;
- understands how to create the necessary conditions for learning based on the specifics of the learner and the teaching situation;
- is able to plan and carry out the learning and educational process under supervision or to support its implementation;
- makes sense of the experience gained in practice and plans further activities for his / her professional development as a teacher / support specialist.
