Course aims
To provide opportunities for experience in a foreign country in an activity related to the professional field as chosen by the Master's student.
Brief description of the course
Traineeship abroad is related to the objectives and learning outcomes of the Master's curriculum of andragogy. The traineeship location/locations are chosen based on the specific nature of the field being studied. A foreign traineeship can also be completed by doing volunteer work.
The planning of a traineeship is based on the objectives and learning outcomes of the major subjects of the curriculum: Andragogy, Professional Identity and Development of Andragogue and Professional Applied Activity. The objectives, tasks and action plan of the traineeship, including the timetable, are agreed with the curator of the curriculum and with the contact person of the traineeship location and recorded in a) a traineeship schedule and action plan and b) a traineeship diary.
At the end of the traineeship and for accounting purposes, the curator is given:
1) a confirmation letter + feedback from the traineeship place;
2) the traineeship diary, containing:
a) the aims of the traineeship, an overview of activities and the results of the activities, including feedback from the traineeship place and the main activities of the practice;
b) an analytical overview of the main activities and the results of the traineeship;
c) self-analysis of the traineeship experience.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- plans and explains the aims and main activities of the traineeship in accordance with the schedule and action plan of the traineeship;
- selects and justifies the traineeship place, highlights objectives and traineeship assignments and justifies the activities, approaches and forms required to complete the assignments;
- analyses the efficiency of the traineeship in the context of the traineeship location;
- analyses and generalises personal experience.
