Course aims
To create opportunities for understanding the principles of choice, functions and implementation of methods and for the creative use of methods in the various fields of activity and professions of an andragogue.
Brief description of the course
Method as an approach. Functions of methods. Activity-centred methods, methods of problem analysis and methods of evaluation in different contexts and situations. Overview of different methods in adult training. Methods focused on the self-analysis of the learner and the activation of experience. Methods that stimulate the activities of learners. Methods focused on supporting communication and developing cooperation.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- understands the principles of the choice, functions and implementation of methods;
- notices various methods and is able to analyse and give feedback on their experience of a method;
- is able to creatively use appropriate methods in the fields of activity of the andragogue.
