Course aims
Acquire knowledge of the different approaches and didactical principles of adult learning and the readiness to design, implement and evaluate the learning process.

Brief description of the course
Didactical principles of teaching adults from different philosophical approaches to education. Theories of adult learning.
Planning, implementing, and evaluating the learning process; designing a motivating and supportive learning environment; power and manipulation in teaching; principles of teaching materials and learning assignments; and choices of adult educators to support learning.
The emphasis of the learning content may vary up to 20% for the topics and activities listed, according to the learning needs of the specific group.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- understands the didactic principles of teaching adults;
- systematically explains the main theoretical approaches to adult learning;
- knows the principles of teaching materials and learning assignments;
- conceptualises, plans, implements and evaluates the learning process;
- is aware of the choices of the teacher in adult education.
