Course aims
The student has a knowledge-based readiness to support adolescent and adult learning.
Brief description of the course
Life story, life transitions and development of youth and adults. Lifelong learning, life-encompassing and deep life learning. Theories of learning of youth and during adulthood. Researching the learning of youth and adults. Youth and adults as students (including diversity - special needs, multiculturalism) and learning as an adult. Learning contexts (including work) of youth and adults. Learning in formal, informal, non-formal situations (historical, socio-cultural and psychosocial and the individual's perspectiv).
The emphasis on learning content may vary by 20% for listed topics and activities according to the learning needs of a particular group.

Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- distinguishes between different life periods and transitions, learning contexts and situations of youth and adults;
- systematically explains the main theoretical approaches to the learning of youth and adults;
- analyses youth and adults as students (including students with special needs) and their specific learning characteristics and opportunities in different contexts and situations;
- analyses the relationship between youth and adult learning and sociocultural and psychological phenomena (culture, environment, race, class, gender, disability, etc.).
