Course aims
Getting acquainted with the learning environment of a general school, studies and teacher´s role in studies. Primary observation skills are acquired for getting an overview of the teacher´s profession in basic school.
Brief description of the course
Introduction to physical classroom learning environment. Observing teacher activity and role in school. Recognizing structural elements of lesson and determining time periods. Language and speech of teacher and manifestations of non-verbal communication in cooperation. Observing cooperation with students and colleagues. Formalizing observation records.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- is able to monitor the work of teachers in basic school;
- is able to create a learning environment conducive to learning and knows the different roles of teaching and learns to perceive the class as a social group;
- knows general education policy trends and national documents;
- analyzes your developing professional skills.
