Course aims
Support student`s professional development in critical thinking, reading, writing and argumentation.
Create conditions to transform before mentioned knowledge into practice: create learning supporting environment for students with special needs.
Brief description of the course
Critical thinking, reading, writing and argumentation. Independent thinking and relevant supportive learning environment. Methods and strategies to form critical reading and writing. Learning materials for critical reading and writing.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- is aware of theoretical concept of critical thinking, reading and writing;
- is able to analyze content and form of argumentation and present the standpoints in verbal and written form;
- applys different methods and strategies in developing critical reading and writing;
- knows how to design a supportive learning environment and create developmental materials to develop critical thinking, reading and writing for people with special needs.
