Course aims
The acquisition of knowledge and skills necessary for a research on educational science. Compilation and preliminary defence of a Bachelor’s thesis. The target of the research seminar is the defence of the Bachelor’s thesis.
Brief description of the course
Presentations on the progress of the research thesis. An overview with regard to the researched problem. Interpretation and synthesis of the data. The theoretical and empirical (logic) part of the research paper. Joint discussions. Individual consultations. Compilation of an academic report of the research. A seminar-discussion of the subject matter. Review. Preliminary defence of the Bachelor’s thesis.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
Finding the source materials, reviewing and quoting according to the set rules;
Choosing and using suitable methodology for carrying out a study;
Collecting relevant data to solve the problem set in the work;
Analysing and synthesising the results of the study and presenting them correctly.
