Course aims
To create opportunities for the students to become familiar with the group's educational activity documents and organisation, to plan and carry out integrated educational activities for children aged 3-6, to use environments and teaching methods appropriate to e-learning and ICT-based communication methods, to analyse the implemented activities from the point of view of a child's development results.
Brief description of the course
Becoming familiar with the kindergarten group's documentation (daily schedule, weekly schedule, planned educational activities, educational work diary, etc.). Observation and analysis of educational activities carried out by a teacher in cooperation with the teacher. Designing and carrying out games and integrated educational activities for children aged 3-6. Choice and analysis of teaching methods and teaching materials. Analysis of the possibilities of using ICT materials. Instructing children's games and activities, organising outdoor movement games and active activities for children. Analysis of the activities and games carried out from the point of view of the child's development.
Independent work
Analysis and observation of the educational activities carried out by the teacher, and formulating observation sheets; preparing, planning, carrying out and analysing the planned educational activities; writing a self-analysis; fulfilling the activity plan; creating a work placement portfolio in an electronic environment; preparing an oral presentation.
Learning outcomes in the course
The student: - creates a teacher's work plan, considering the curriculum and integration between different fields; - chooses appropriate methods for teaching and learning and ways of giving feedback according to the goals set; - chooses appropriate teaching materials and aids according to learning aims and the learner's development level; - creates a positive communication environment and behaves according to best practice in communication; communicates successfully with people from different levels and target groups,
- analyses their own professional development while being open to feedback and taking it into account when planning self-development; - uses appropriate environments and learning methods for e-learning; - uses contemporary ICT-based communication methods.
