Course aims
The aim of the course is to enable students to gain insight into the game industry, the basics of the game industry, its’ internal and external drivers, stakeholders. Also to introduce a variety of business models, strategies and their implementation.
Brief description of the course
The course of Game industry will cover following topics:
- Introduction to the game industry and business models;
- Game industry fundamentals and process model;
- Roles and jobs of game industry;
- Game marketing and project management;
- Game products and services, production model by the example of Creative Mobile;
- Game industry gatherings, conferences and events.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- knows the theoretical approaches to gaming as a business;
- is able to analyze the business models;
- is able to evaluate the potential of the games;
- obtains insights into recent developments in the field of game industry.
