Course aims
To develop students’ knowledge of and skills in vector and bitmap graphics.
Brief description of the course
reating design work with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. Illustrations, icons, logos and posters in vector and bitmap graphics. Typography and text in design. Common methods in photo editing, photo manipulation and digital collage. Mixed media in vector and bitmap graphics. Applying design, composition and colour theory principles in design work. The creative process of design work from scratch till the end result.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- is able to skillfully handle raster and vector graphics based design software;
- creates high-quality and versatile design solutions in raster and vector graphics;
- is able to independently find and use instructions and study materials necessary for handling design software.
