Course aims

To extend basic skills in oral and written Turkish. Enable to systematically attain categories of Turkish grammar.

Brief description of the course

Prerequisite is Turkish A2. Development of reading, listening, speaking and writing skills by means of studying texts and dialogues. Exercises for the purpose of fixing communicative skills. Applying oral skills in everyday situations: work and holidays, receiving guests, travelling, medical services, in bank, in a tourist office, in a shop, in a business company. Writing letters and short essays.
Grammar topics: participles I, gerunds I, verb moods I.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- has ability to communicate orally and in writing;
- has ability to distinguish various grammatical categories and their various functions in Turkish.
