Course aims

To give an overview of the main concepts and theories of moral philosophy and to learn to use them in analysing contemporary problems and situations.

Brief description of the course

The course concentrates on questions about ethics and moral from antiquity to contemporary times. The following concepts will be analysed: good/bad, good/evil, happiness, pleasure, value, norm, duty, guilt, sin and others. These concepts will be introduced in a broader theoretical context.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- orientates in the main problems and theories of ethics and moral.
