Course aims
To provide a survey of the main trends of 20th century Italian literature, discuss main authors and works until ca 1980.
Brief description of the course
Developments in prose, fiction, poetry and drama during the following periods:
from 19th century decadence to 1st World War; from 1st World War to 2nd World War;
from 2nd World War to 1980's including overviews of works by Calvino, Sciascia, various female authors and Eco.
Discussions will be held on literary criticism.
