Course aims
To make direct acquaintance with the works of some of the most important representatives of Italian society and culture after Risorgimento (from 1861) until the beginning of the 20th century.

Lectures and seminars that offer a direct acquaintance with the works of some of the most important representatives of Italian society and culture after Risorgimento (from 1861) until the beginning of the 20th century.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
Knowledge of the development of Italian society in parliamentary conditions during the period of Positivism and the end-of-the-century Decadence, ability to understand the developments of Italian society and culture in the European context, ability to analyse and understand the works by the publicists and writers of the period after the Risorgimento.
