Course aims

An overview in the theoretical linguistic aspects of English on the basis of different morphological and syntactic theories. Possibilities for the application of the results in compiling the theoretical part of the research.

Brief description of the course

The structure of English. Contemporary aspects of language research. Language typology.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- has deeper knowledge of the structure of English and can reflect and describe it in their research papers;
- can associate their linguistic knowledge with a wider cultural and scientific context.
