Course aims
To create the basic understanding of the theories of the second language acquisition and assessing language knowledge ability to put those in practice in teaching E2; to get the experience of independent research.
Brief description of the course
Introduction to the theories of the second language acquisition, L2 learning and teaching theories, language knowledge, the language-level classifications and assessment, learners language, learning and teaching E2 in the light of theories discussed: an independent research.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- understands the theories of the second language acquisition, L2 learning, teaching and assessment theories and develops ability to use them in E2 teaching;
- writes an independent research.
