Course aims
The aim of the course is
- to understand the features (structure, usage) of Estonian as L2;
- to learn how to explain the specifics of Estonian as L2 focused on the issues that are problematic for L2 learners;
to develop the skill to analyze the learning materials and methods according to the target group/learning situations.

Brief description of the course
Estonian language structure (morphology and syntax focused on the Estonian as L2). Understanding Estonian as L2 problems. Estonian as L2 learning materials and methods for different learning situation/environment/ target groups.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- understands the specifics of Estonian as L2;
- is able to evaluate the Estonian as L2 teaching materials/methods according to the target group/learning situation/environment.
- knows Estonian language structure (focused on the Estonian as L2);
