Course aims

Offer the conditions for preparing for the bachelor exam (professional exam), renewing the skills and knowledge acquired during studies according to different tasks of language editor.

Brief description of the course

Initial assessment of the text, editing, working with the layout of the text. Spelling errors, composition of the text, regarding functions and the target group of the text, avoiding repetitions and inconsistencies in the text, regarding the style of the author, checking facts, authenticity of the text and citations, terminology and formatting, in case of translated text checking the accordance with the original and translated text.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- is prepared for bachelor exam (professional exam);
- has skills and knowledge for editing different texts.
