Course aims

Create the preconditions to use their creativity, apply various techniques of the expression of creativity while working as specialists in their future jobs and teach respective techniques in pedagogical work.

Brief description of the course

Theoretical basis of expressive therapy. Self-cognition and self-expression. Empowerment. The principles of processing personal experience. Music and creativity. Movement and body perception in the context of creativity. Colour and words as the means of developing creativity. Developing and expressing creativity through verbal and visual (shape, colour) means of expression. Musical inspiration, creative tasks involving sound. Creative thinking exercises. Linear and intuitive thinking. Lateral thinking. Creative writing. Description of independent work: independent practical tasks and presentation of these at seminars.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
Readiness to consciously support the development of personal creative self-expression, ability to implement the techniques of creative thinking in professional self-actualization, ability to use the techniques of creative self-expression and creative thinking in educational work.
