Course aims

To provide students with techniques to help them explore their creativity through and within writing.

Brief description of the course

Exploring how to create: giving inspiration access, finding the germ of a character and bringing them to life, writing stream of consciousness, exploring students own personalities, observing how they relate to others, examining their own histories and mining their own experiences, accessing parts of their imagination which are currently unavailable to them through games and creation focused exercises, and learning to change their own perspectives in order to better understand the perspectives of others.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- is equipped to engage in creative writing and will be better able to create new ideas from scratch.
