Course aims
To provide students with techniques for screenwriting and practical experience.
Brief description of the course
Exploring how to create a screenplay from scratch, from initial idea to finished screenplay. Students will learn about and practice writing a treatment, convincing and memorable dialogue, exploring subtext, writing whole scenes, structuring a screenplay, revising and rewriting, and polishing.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- is able to write their own screenplay.
