Course aims
The course is designed to provide practical experience about the production of narratives across platforms. The course will integrate a theoretical part aimed to equip the students with the necessary tools to carry out the practical assignment.
Brief description of the course
The first part of the course consists of a theoretical component where the students will become familiar with different methods capable to carry narratives across platforms. Students will develop a clear understanding of the differences in practices such as transmedia storytelling, crossmedia communication, interactive narratives and participatory experiences.

The second part of the course requires the students to put in practice what theoretically learned by carrying out, in groups, a project spreading on two different platforms.

At the end of the course, each group is expected to present their project in class and to submit a video trailer of the project.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- has knowledge of fundamental differences among projects spreading across media;
- has ability to choose the best suiting crossmediatic strategy for the chosen narrative;
- is aware of the main issues related to audience engagement across platforms.
