Course aims
The purpose of this course is to provide students the knowledge of theory, concepts and crucial principles of the independent filmmaking from finding the right idea up to the international marketing.
Brief description of the course
The course is designed to teach students the essentials of the independent filmmaking. It focuses on the creation of a film targeting an international market.
The course is built around the whole filmmaking process and it introduces the creative and business aspects of the film production throw the main stages of it. Students acquire the theoretical knowledge and understanding of the basic principles and cruisal questions of this process. The practical assignments will give an experience how to develop an idea and story together with some fundamental knowledge of drawing up strategies for production.

Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- has acquired the theory and concepts of the independent filmmaking from finding an idea up to marketing;
- has knowledge how to create a film project targeting an international market
