Course aims
The goal of the course is to give to the students a general understanding of the meaning of the term new human rights, about the theoretical discussion related to the emergence of new human rights norms and principles and review the main so-called new human rights.
Brief description of the course
The course will cover the following areas: the meaning of new human rights; the link of new human rights to traditional human rights; acceptance of new human rights and main stakeholders; new human rights related to information technologies; new human rights related to identity and personality; new human rights related to the exercise of public authority; new human rights related to well-being.

Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- understands the meaning of new human rights;
- understands the mechanisms leading to the recognition of new human rights;
- knows the content of new human rights and their relation to traditional human rights.
