Course aims
- To acquaint students with the structure and functioning of the most important international judicial bodies;
- To get an understanding of how international law is applied in practice.
Brief description of the course
The structure, competence, and jurisdiction of the most important international courts, including the International Court of Justice, European Court of Human Rights, Permanent Court of Arbitration, International Court of Environmental Arbitration and Conciliation, International Court of Arbitration and the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- is acquainted with the structure and functioning of the most important international judicial bodies;
- has an understanding of how international law is applied in practice.
