Course aims
create opportunities to acquire deep knowledge of the Estonian legal system as a whole and ensure that law enforcement system, its structure and activities;
support the student's willingness and skills to refer to a proper law enforcement agency in a particular matter

Brief description of the course
The course gives an overview of the functions and activities of the Estonian law enforcement agencies, the association to the European Union law enforcement agencies. It teaches about the judiciary, the prosecution, the Bar Association, the Police, the Chancellor of Justice, the activities of bailiffs and bankruptcy trustees.

Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:

* has a comprehensive overview of the Estonian legal system and knows the adequate description of the main tasks of law enforcement activities;
* able to determine which law enforcement agency should be given a specific legal problem to solve the problem;
* Is familiar with Estonian law enforcement agencies ensuring the functioning of the general principles and specific features of the different judicial authorities;
