Course aims
Give an overview of the history of mentality as a method deriving from the school of annals and how it can be used to cognize the past.
Brief description of the course
Methodological basis of research in history of mentalities. Significant works of mentality of historians and research findings.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
Orienteerub mentaliteediajaloo kujunemise taustas 20. sajandi ajalooteadusliku tunnetuse raamistuses. Omab ülevaadet peamistest suundumustest ning oskab kriitiliselt hinnata metaliteediajaloo tugevaid ja nõrku külgi.
