Course aims
Compact overview of development of Nordic cultural space and its typical characteristics from Viking era up to the beginning of 19th century.
Brief description of the course
This course of lectures provides a general overview of history of Nordic countries (Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway and Iceland) from the time of the Vikings up to the end of the 18th century. The outlines of the Nordic society, internal and foreign policy in Denmark and Sweden, population and cultural life in the Nordic countries.
