Course aims
To give an overview of conservation of archaeological finds, the right actions in finding and depositing artefacts.
Brief description of the course
The right actions in finding artefacts are important for their conservation. The primary methods of treating artefacts made of different materials will be considered. The conservation of artefacts in soil, types of soil. An introduction to outside conservation. Although the main attention will be paid to outside conservation, that does not need extra skills, an overview of conservating and restoring finds in a lab will also be provided.
