- creatively applies appropriate special education evidence-based assessment and teaching methods and materials in working with learners with special needs, taking into account the learner's age, mental capacity, communication status, will and emotional life, readiness for contact, etc.;
- leads teamwork, supporting the learner and his/her close network in accordance with ethical and professional principles, uses self-expression based on the target group and professional terminology in communicating with learners, families and specialists, contributing to collaborative problem solving and the formation of common goals;
- plans, initiates and carries out learning, development and counselling activities, based on the individual characteristics, development potential and close network of the learner in need of support, and operating flexibly in a changing environment;
- systematically reflects and analyses their professional activities, acting as a self-directed, responsible and ethical special education teacher and managing their professional development.
Graduation requirements
To complete the curriculum, the student must complete the curriculum to the specified extent, including completing all mandatory subjects and defending the master's thesis.
